Afterhours Medical Assistance

In an emergency please phone 111 and speak to the Ambulance Service. Doctors at the Kaiapoi Medical Centre are part of the 24 Hour Surgery on Madras Street, Christchurch. If a patient requires to be seen out of hours they can access the 24 Hour Surgery directly and without an appointment.

When the Kaiapoi Medical Centre surgery is closed please call Healthline on 0800 611 116 for free health advice. They have healthcare professionals available 24hrs a day. They will offer the best possible advice to the caller.

Practice Plus

We also offer a new telehealth after hours service with Practice Plus. This is an after-hours service that provides same-day virtual appointments. It is not staffed by the Kaiapoi Medical Centre, but is a separate organisation. Please note there is likely a charge for this. Appointments are available weekdays 5pm - 8pm, and weekends/public holidays 8am - 8pm.
